Mental health and addiction resources for Jasper residents

JASPER – As residents of Jasper continue to return to the municipality, this can be a challenging and emotional time. Recovery Alberta has resources and services available to help residents and their loved ones cope with mental health needs and stress during this difficult time.

Everyone deals with stress differently and traumatic events can have a big impact. It’s important to remember that it is OK to ask for help. Mental health and addiction services are present in the community and there are resources to meet the community’s needs.

Individuals seeking in-person supports can access mental health and addiction resources through the following locations in Jasper:

  • Re-entry Support Centre, Commemoration Park
    • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week (while support centre is operational).
  • Seton-Jasper Healthcare Centre, 518 Robson St.
    • Mental Health and Addiction Community Clinic
      • Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
      • Call 780-852-6616 for more information.
    • Mental health and addiction staff are available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the emergency department.
  • If in crisis, help is available at the emergency department or by calling 911.

Virtual and online services are also available through the following resources:

  • Access Addiction and Mental Health Line: 1-888-594-0211, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • The Indigenous Support Line: 1-844-944-4744, Monday to Friday from noon to 8 p.m. Available for First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, to answer questions and help support culturally appropriate care.
